The Drake

I've been living in DC for the last 7 years, and have moved apartments at the end of every lease. That's six years of moving! I'm coming to the end of my lease with The Drake, and can honestly say I've never felt more at "home" in this city than I do living in this building. Randy and Brian are the most OUTSTANDING management team, and every other team member in our community is just as warm and welcoming. They are on top of all in-unit maintenance requests, and the amenities are always in tip top shape. The building is as clean as can be, and I always feel safe. I recently went on a 2.5 month hiatus from my apartment during COVID. I expected to return to a bunch of sad, dead plants & was surprised to see that the team had been watering them while I was gone! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?! It really is the small things that make a place feel like family. Keener Management does those things & so much more!

I've lived in the Drake for a little over a year and in Dupont circle for 5 years. It's an excellent building with excellent management and staff. It's hard to beat the amenities in this building compared to other rentals in the neighborhood--hardwoods, luxury finishes, stainless steel appliances, in-unit W/D, ice maker (yes, this is rare in the city), dishwasher, built-ins and even quiet drawers. The business center, coffee machine, and common areas are great for students or the work from home crowd. The gym is clean and convenient. Each unit comes with a small storage space and bike storage in the basement for no additional fees. Packages are held at the front desk and there's always someone to sign for them. All utilities are included in rent, which makes for a few less bills you have to deal with each month. I can't say enough nice things about this building and staff. It's a great place to live.

We've called The Drake home for nearly nine months and everything about it is terrific. First, the prices are super competitive for the area and management makes it easy to sign a lease. The rent includes everything -- including utilities. The building is rock solid and soundproof. The units are modern, elegant and smartly designed. I've had bigger kitchens, but none as nice or as fun to prepare a meal within. Each home even comes with extra storage (great place to place thing use use infrequently, such as luggage). The community is lively but never noisy. Residents are friendly and professional. The entire building is spotless and fresh (they even mop the fire stairs from top to bottom).There are no pets, which for many is a plus. The management is professional, the lobby staff friendly, and the maintenance team phenomenal (they'll even hang your artwork if you ask). Everything you need is only a short walk away -- Metrorail at Dupont, numerous bus routes, Whole Foods, and even a mini Safeway up the block.  And, if you don't want (or need) to leave the building, the rooftop has a amazing views of the city, free wireless access, a club room, two grills, patio furniture, and a gym with the basics! There's also a business center and unlimited coffee service in the lobby. The Drake is an amazing place to live and I'd recommend it to anyone, hands down.

I lived in DC for 3 years and nothing compares to my experience living at The Drake. The Drake is a very safe and luxurious building. The amenities truly make the building special (such as the rooftop views, the fitness center, the utilities included in rent, etc.) The building management was extremely responsive to any requests.

I've lived here for almost 6 months. The building is brand new and the apartments have all of the bells and whistles you would want-- ice maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal, built-in microwave, hardwoods, quiet drawers, W/D in-unit. The common areas are well-maintained. Management is friendly and responsive.

Beautiful Building, great location... location... location and wonderful management.
