Resident at The Park Monroe

I lived at the park Monroe for two years and I would definitely recommend it to anyone moving to the area. The management was fantastic - if anything broke, if I had any questions, or needed anything they were there. The building had a little bit of everything that I needed without breaking the bank.

Park Monroe has one of the best building teams I've had the pleasure to live with. They're quick to resolve problems and always have a solution when you need it. Jason should have special mention as he's gone above and beyond in the past to make my stay here fantastic. The facility in general is well kept and maintained with a very high standard. They're up on all the latest codes put forth by the district. ( I'm not going to look up the proper name to use here. )

I'll be asking corporate if they have a sister company in other cities. It took a long to to find a team this high in quality.

Lived here for almost 2 years, and couldn't have been happier with my experience.

  • Great building management that is courteous, organized and super-responsive.
  • Very good insulation (no noise from the neighbors) and sturdy construction
  • Extremely clean common areas (never once saw a bug or pest)
  • Packages delivered to your unit each day
  • Good washer dryers; rarely any line or wait

The only significant downsides were street noise (sirens on 16th) and loud A/C units (no central air). Still, all things considered, we probably wouldn't have moved at all if we didn't need a bigger space.

Resident at The Park Monroe

So I lived in the Park Monroe for one year from July 2014 to July 2015. I lived in (I believe) the largest studio in the building before moving elsewhere to live with my girlfriend.

After a year I can definitely say it was one of the best apartment experiences I've had.

Pros:

  • Clean (never saw a single bug in my place)
  • Maintenance is very fast and hassle free (In one case they fixed a problem with my lock before I even mentioned it to them)
  • The manager (Annie) is awesome. She's super helpful and charming
  • Short walk to metro, Target, Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, and various other places
  • Rent seemed fair
  • Great lighting (Although you'll see this will also be in the cons area)
  • Gas stove (If you cook on electric, you've been doing it wrong your whole life)

Cons:

  • You'll definitely need blackout curtains, it can get rather bright

Resident at The Park Monroe

I moved here in June 2011 and I love it. I can't hear any of my neighbors (concrete walls), they just put in a small new gym (a few nice machines with flatscreens and a full weight set) and the location is great. I can catch a bus at any hour on 16th, 14th or over on Mt. Pleasant, and hello CoHi metro is 1 long block away on Park. The noise from 16th street is loud but this is the city! The management is wonderful. I've lived in a ton of building in NYC and DC and George is probably the best I've ever experienced. He really cares about his residents. Requests are taken care of the very same day and the maintenance staff is nice too. I like the outdoor back patio a lot too. No bugs either. Clean clean clean! I come home regularly to the maintenance staff laying on the ground scrubbing the floors to get into the corner. It's not super fancy but if you want a really nice clean safe place thats close to everything, call George. I got in right before the upped the studios again so expect $1400 . The building is rent stabilized though! Get a tour the inside is nicer than the outside.

The Park Monroe actually cares about its tenants and maintains the building well. Every time I had a question or issue, it was resolved within 24 hours (usually less). You can now pay your rent and submit maintenance requests online. They also have a good system for receiving packages.
