The Newseum has always been a museum known for its focus on the First Amendment but also on free expression. On Nov. 15, they will celebrate the right to free expression in one night.
Join the Newseum for their last night of Newseum Nights next week Tuesday for “Newseum Nights: Act Up!” Every moment will be spent enjoying the free of expression through dance, art and so much more. Take a look at everything that will be happening at “Newseum Nights: Act Up!”
- Enjoy a performance by the best all-male step team in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia-area (DMV), Dem’ Raider Boyz. Watch as they send a powerful yet entertaining message to their audience.
- Snap your fingers as you listen to the Haiku Guys & Gals create haikus on the spot.
- Dance to your own beat at the glow-in-the-dark silent disco with sounds by DJ Moosic, DJ Electr0x and DJ Eric
- Get a temporary ink tattoo with custom Newseum Nights tattoos.
- Enjoy live mural painting from artist Michael Hammond, live intuitive personality portraits by Maria Briskman, and powerful art installations from local artists.
- Snack on small bites at the finger food stations where you can enjoy popcorn chicken, tater tots and popcorn. You can also enjoy wine and beer at the wine bar, and enjoy a beer tasting of seasonal brews by Flying Dog Brewery.
- Enjoy special programming on controversies in advertising, including Flying Dog’s First Amendment fight.
