The holidays are here and that means holiday shopping is in full swing. Black Friday and Cyber Monday has come and gone, but you still haven’t found that perfect gift for your loved one. Instead of worrying, head to the Downtown D.C. Holiday Market.
The twelfth annual Downtown Holiday Market will bring Washingtonians the most spectacular outdoor shopping ever experienced. The market opened on Nov. 25 to offer items from over 150 regional artisans, crafters and boutique businesses.
You can buy your loved one, jewelry, pottery, paintings, and textiles offered by 60 exhibitors each day. Shop for clothes, accessories, collectibles and even hand-crafted soaps and candles whether it’s for your mother, uncle or just a close friend. With that many options, you’re sure to find something special for your loved one.
While you’re shopping, you can enjoy seasonal performances as well as delicious snacks and festive treats. Enjoy hip-hop, jazz, blues, pop, classic rock and reggae from local performers while you shop and even stop by them and dance to a song or two. If you get hungry, grab an empanada from Alexa’s Empanadas, a doughnut from Migue’s Magnificent Donuts or just a warm cup of delicious hot chocolate from and other treats from the other food stops around the market.
Don’t forget to check back periodically until the market ends on Dec. 23 because the vendors rotate and the selection of items will vary daily. As always, the market will be located across from the Verizon Center, making it the perfect area to get all of your downtown holiday shopping needs met.
